Roblox reports 123 million daily active users (DAUs) in the second quarter of 2026, up 10% year over year. Roblox also reports 29 billion hours engaged on its platform in that quarter, up 5% year over year. Both figures are from Roblox's shareholder letter of 30 July 2026, and both cover the whole platform, not any one game.
Roblox's same letter reports an average of 27 million monthly unique payers in the second quarter of 2026, up 15% year over year. Roblox's RDC 2026 post of 11 September 2026 puts hours engaged last quarter at 29 billion, across more than 180 countries.
How much do Roblox developers earn?
In its post "The Global Impact of Creation on Roblox" of 3 September 2026, Roblox reports its creators earned over $1.5 billion in 2025, surpassing 2024's total of $923 million. In its RDC 2026 post of 11 September 2026, Roblox said creators earned approximately $1.7 billion in the past 12 months, on data through 30 June 2026. In the same 11 September 2026 post, Roblox put creators' earnings since it launched its Developer Exchange (DevEx) program in 2013 at more than $5 billion.
Roblox says its creator ecosystem includes many hobbyists. Of the millions of creators monetising on Roblox, over 42,000 are in the DevEx program, Roblox's post of 3 September 2026 says. The same Roblox post says the median creator among them received approximately $1,500 in the 12 months ended 30 June 2026.
Dubit's figures from March 2026 put a Roblox game's earnings at an average of $4 per 1,000 plays. That combines its two main income streams: in-game purchases and, since mid-2025, rewarded video ads. On the same figures, revenue scales with chart position, and games inside the Top 10 earn over $10 million a month.
Dubit's 2025 analysis of top Roblox creators of user-generated content (UGC) found they earn an average of 4,000 to 12,000 Robux per UGC item per month. Their returns are concentrated in a small number of hit items: roughly 80% of a creator's revenue comes from 20% of their UGC catalogue.
